*18 Apr update: WAHOO! I just got off the lake trail and it’s in perfect condition for our Women’s ride tomorrow night! Can’t wait to hit the dirt!
Wheels down at 5:00 so get there a few minutes early to be ready to rumble. You must have a helmet and closed toe shoes. Leave your flippy floppies and Tevas for after the ride. Bring water and your favorite trail snack. I’ll be munching on Honey Stinger Waffles. Delicious!
This is a mountain bike clinic and as such I will be providing guidance on how to ride mountain bikes. I do not recommend that you bring a hybrid, gravel or cross bike. I don’t know how to teach riding those types of bikes on single track. Patuxent Adventure Center has demo bikes you can rent. They’ll get you all set up!
Our next women’s ride will be on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 in the main lot. Fingers crossed you can make one or both rides!

Our first ride will be on Wednesday, April 19th at 5:00 p.m. starting from the Main Lot, there is a $3 fee for parking that requires a card payment to open the gate. Weather/trail conditions are dependent of course!!
This initial ride is geared towards beginners so we plan to ride between 4 and 6 miles mostly through the forest but using the main lake trail to create some fun loops. We will do some basic skills and/or sessions as determined by the skill levels/needs of the riders. The main goal is to get out there and have some fun riding with other women and gaining confidence.
We’d love to have our intermediate/advanced riders come out as well. Your passion for riding will add another level of fun!
A working mountain bike and helmet are required. Bring water! We’ll bring the snacks!
Stay tuned for full schedule which will include intermediate rides and if there is interest we can schedule rides at Cedarville or Rosaryville. Who knows where we’ll wind up!!
Address: end of Camp Cosoma Rd, Callaway, MD 20620
